This was a lot of fun and such a growing experience but certainly this is not an entry for the weak and lazy ...  Oh My Gosh, lots of work goes into entering this category.
I started in July searching for recipes. A total of three  weeks  time was used in decorating the jar.  

All of August was baking month, each cookie needs to be individually wrapped in clear plastic

before being placed in the cookie jar. 

The judges look at the decorated jar and the cookies which both need to follow a predetermined theme.

This particular year the theme was "Prairie Wild Flowers."
Cookies need to vary and at least 9 different recipes need to be baked to fill this jar.  I baked 10 varieties.

Some of the cookie recipes included culinary lavender products and other unique items such as culinary flowers and rose water.
